Volkswagen Touran: new engine, new package and new variant

Volkswagen brings slight changes to the range of the five-seat MPV Touran, as in the coming days a new petrol engine will be added, along with a new standard package especially aimed at families and a new variant designed to meet the demands of business use.

The new engine that will be added to the Volkswagen Touran will be the 1.2 TSI, which will keep company with the until now lone 1.4 TSI, in contrast to the wide diesel offering for the model. The 1.2 produces 105 CV and can only be purchased in combination with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Touran in Edition trim also gets a new standard equipment package called Family, a package dedicated to the transport needs of families. Among other items this package includes a third row of seats, floor mats, Bi-Zone climate control, the multifunction display and the pre-installation of a “VW universal Bluetooth” phone system. This package will be available for the Edition trim with the new 1.2 TSI engine. Those who prefer another engine in the Edition trim can add the package as an option costing 700 euros.

For companies planning to buy a Touran, Volkswagen has also created a special variant for them. To the Edition, Advance and Sport trims, the new Business trim is added with special equipment consisting of a multifunction steering wheel, USB connection, the Plus multifunction display, “VW universal Bluetooth” pre-installation and textile floor mats. It can also be fitted with the RNS 315 navigation system, Bi-Zone climate control and rear parking sensor, or Bi-Xenon headlights in the Advance trim, if ordered with any of the Tech packages.
