Walkinshaw Performance Series II, the wildest Comodore in history

Perhaps outside Australia Tom Walkinshaw is not very well known, but for those who don’t know him, this gentleman was the one who created the VHS company, a company that, after presenting several of its automotive projects, catapulted Mr. Walkinshaw to the management of Holden.
After working for the company for several decades, this gentleman decided to leave his post for personal reasons, although restless people cannot stop doing “something,” and in Walkinshaw’s case today we can present the GT Supercar Series II.

This model is basically a Holden Commodore SS Series II to which, among many other things, a tremendous Edelbrock WP 230 supercharger has been installed, which has increased power to 617 horsepower and 780 Nm of peak torque.
To balance the whole system, a new, much sportier and firmer suspension signed by Bilstein has been installed, as well as a new brake set consisting of higher-performance discs, highlighted by the huge six-piston calipers.
Honestly, it would be wonderful to see a vehicle of these characteristics on our roads, although the situation looks difficult since, on top of the import costs, you have to add the 46,930 dollars that a manual Commodore SS costs and the 51,880 dollars the preparation costs, for a total of no less than 98,818 dollars for a unique model of which only 23 units will be built.
