WiBLE adds 150 units of the Kia XCeed PHEV to its fleet

WiBLE, the carsharing service backed by Kia and Repsol, is celebrating its fifth anniversary in Madrid with a fleet expansion. In nearly five years since July 2018, WiBLE has shown that shared, sustainable mobility can go hand in hand with the peace of mind of long-distance journeys in a spacious, comfortable, technologically advanced and safe car.

While it already had 500 operational plug-in hybrid vehicles, such as the Kia Niro PHEV, the service will add 150 units of the Kia XCeed PHEV over the course of March. In total, users will have access to 650 plug-in hybrid vehicles with zero-emission (0) labels.

With the current Kia Niro fleet, the company says that 300,000 users are already part of this project and use the vehicles it provides, having completed more than 3 million trips totalling 20 million kilometres, equivalent to travelling around the world 1,250 times. In this way, the brand is establishing itself as one of the best carsharing companies.

For his part, Alberto Gómez, the company’s Managing Director, stated that it “is a sign of confidence in the project from our partners, bringing us closer to our goal of making the company sustainable“.

The cars WiBLE offers are very practical and well rated by users, with an average score of almost 9, thanks to their range and spaciousness. It has also become one of the best solutions for getting to and from the airport, especially from towns outside the M-30 ring road that are part of the WiBLE zone, such as Majadahonda, Alcobendas or Pozuelo de Alarcón.

WiBLE MáS

WiBLE has also introduced new services such as WiBLE MáS. This new option lets users rent one of the vehicles in the WiBLE fleet on any day they wish, starting from a minimum of three days, with unlimited mileage and without deposits or cumbersome paperwork. In addition, WiBLE MáS offers the convenience of having the car delivered directly to the user’s front door and fully sanitised. A perfect option for those who do not want to make a purchase or sign a contract.

Kia XCeed PHEV

This vehicle model is a five-door plug-in hybrid offering a dynamic, versatile driving experience with instant response thanks to its electric and combustion engines. It also has a zero-emission label, which allows it to enter the Madrid Low Emission Zone.

The Kia XCeed PHEV is equipped with a 1.6-litre petrol engine and an electric motor, giving it a range of up to 48 km in fully electric mode and a top speed of 120 km/h in this mode. The 8.9 kWh lithium-ion battery can be recharged in under two hours from a 3.3 kW socket. It also features a six-speed automatic gearbox, front-wheel drive and a combined maximum output of 141 CV. In terms of safety, the Kia XCeed PHEV includes systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, driver attention alert and autonomous emergency braking.

It also features a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a eight-speaker sound system signed by JBL, as well as a spacious interior for passengers and 292 L of cargo space, thanks to its clever, ergonomic design.
