Chevrolet Camaro Collector's Edition; the Camaro model will stop production in January 2024
The Chevrolet Camaro, one of the best-selling sports cars on the market, will reach the end of its life in January 2024 after six generations and nine years of sales.

The iconic sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, known as the “pony car”, is bidding farewell to the market after nine years of production. With its elegant and aerodynamic design, it has earned a large number of admirers and has been one of Chevrolet’s best-selling and most successful models, alongside its main rival, the Ford Mustang. The last units will roll off the production line at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan in January 2024.
The sixth-generation Camaro SS offered Magnetic Ride Control, which allowed drivers to adjust the suspension in real time for a smoother and more controlled ride. The 650-horsepower ZL1 1LE was the last street-legal track Camaro produced in the sixth generation. At the Milford Road Course, this model set the fastest lap time for any Camaro, demonstrating the Camaro’s ability to compete in the most demanding environments.

Although no more units of this model will be produced, it will continue to compete on the track, keeping its position for the future. Models such as the Corvette, Colorado and Silverado ZR2, Tahoe RST and Blazer EV SS1 will continue to hit the market. As Scott Bell, Vice President of Global Chevrolet, has announced, new Camaro models will arrive in the future: “While we are not announcing an immediate successor today, rest assured that this is not the end of the Camaro story.” Many rumors suggest that the next version will be an electric model, just as they have done with the Chevrolet Corvette.
Chevrolet Camaro Collector’s Edition
Despite the retirement of the sixth-generation Camaro, the company has not wanted to leave its fans with a bitter taste. Chevrolet will celebrate this farewell with the addition of the Collector’s Edition package, across a range of models that includes the entry-level Camaro LT1, the Camaro SS with the 1LE package, the Camaro ZL1 with its supercharged V8 engine, and the Camaro ZL1 1LE.
The Collector’s Edition package will include unique and distinctive features that will set these models apart from standard Camaros. We expect to learn more details about the 2024 Camaro lineup and the collector’s edition package closer to the start of this summer.

Although we still don’t know many features of this limited edition, we know that, as they have done with other models, it will come loaded with new features. The Collector’s Edition pays tribute to the Camaro, reviving the ties that date back to the development of the first generation in the 1960s. One of the few novelties the brand has shown us is a small Panther located inside the R of Camaro, honoring one of its pioneering models, the Chevrolet Panther, unveiled in 1966.

With its body painted in a distinctive metallic orange, the Camaro Collector’s Edition is a true spectacle for the eyes. It also features 20-inch alloy wheels with a gloss black finish and an exclusive hood with air extractors, which give it an even more aggressive and sporty look.
But the true heart of the Camaro Collector’s Edition lies under the hood. With a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 455 horsepower, this car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. It also features a 10-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel, which allows gear changes with impressive precision and speed.
The Camaro has been a benchmark model in the market for many years, and fans eagerly await the arrival of new models and updates to continue the legendary tradition of Chevrolet.
