Will there also be a crossover of the Fiat 500?

In addition to the wide range of current variants of the Fiat 500, the future will bring new models to be presented in the coming years. After the electric 500 and the Abarth are unveiled, a saloon or perhaps a crossover will follow as well.
The new model will have four doors and seating for five passengers. Clearly, the current 500 platform is too small for this model, but it will be built on a new base, although it will not be based on any Chrysler model. Perhaps the Fiat Bravo?
This new 500 (since it will keep the same name) will have higher lines, more saloon-like while approaching the crossover, or a blend of both (which is what a crossover is for), and surely with more ground clearance. Marchionne plans for this new model to be presented in Geneva next year, and to hit the market in 2013.
The project looks promising, so I have a strange curiosity to see what a 500 saloon or crossover will finally look like when it goes up against the Mini.

Si el 500 se convierte en crossover dejará de ser un 500, tan cuco él… ¿no?
Estrictamente hablando, así es, Esmeralda. Tendrá que ser más grande y basado en otro modelo, el Bravo en este caso o quizás otro.
Un saludo
