Many vehicles have suffered neglect over the years but which, for various reasons, we would have loved to enjoy while their production lines were still active. Among them is the iconic BMW 5 Series E34, one of the most acclaimed generations among enthusiasts of the Bavarian marque. Today it is easy to find a used example of this German saloon on the second-hand market, but not always in the best condition. Even so, the opportunity of the century may have arisen to acquire an E34 in perfect condition, something made possible by this find in Bulgaria.

Through a Facebook page, we have witnessed one of the greatest discoveries of the year: a warehouse filled with BMW 5 Series E34s without a single kilometre on the clock. Without a doubt, this is a scenario that every car enthusiast dreams of, and today we explain the reasons why this select group has been standing still since 1994.

There are still many mysteries surrounding this group of BMW 5 Series that are completely new despite their advanced age. This far-fetched situation stems from the supposed creation of a Bulgarian car rental company but, for reasons still unknown, it never came to light, causing this set of saloons to be frozen in time and, consequently, forgotten.

Despite the passage of time and the inevitable damage it has caused, we can see that the condition of each and every one of the units is exceptional. Dust and some rust do not prevent us from seeing that, overall, this group of BMW E34s appears ready for a thorough overhaul and to start running as they should have more than twenty years ago.

The interior is in pristine condition, where the plastic seat covers and the lack of contact with the dashboard have allowed it to remain in perfect condition. The mechanical state of each of the units present is unknown, but we can assume that both the 520i and the 525i that have rested peacefully in these premises will need tuning.

For now, the fate of these BMW 5 Series is unknown, but everything points to them being auctioned once their past has been determined. In this way, eleven lucky buyers will be able to debut this German saloon that enjoyed such success in the late 80s and mid 90s, a period when its production was at its peak.
