Xpeng expands its presence into new European markets
The Chinese manufacturer wants to become a relevant player in the electric vehicle market in Europe, and few countries on the continent remain where it has no commercial presence yet.
Having recently announced its arrival in the Polish market, Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng has unveiled its expansion plans for new European markets, which will see it start operations in Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia from the second quarter of this year.
In these three countries, Xpeng will work with the Swedish group Hedin Mobility Group to distribute its electric cars, an alliance that already operates in Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, where Hedin manages the brand’s sales.

Xpeng’s approach in Europe is not limited to the largest markets. The company is already present in countries such as Norway – where it debuted in 2021 – Germany, France and the United Kingdom, and it is therefore now preparing to address somewhat smaller European markets.
Xpeng is making its mark in Europe
Following this new strategy, the company has already confirmed its entry into Poland, partnering with the British firm Inchcape, a company with sales experience that already works with Xpeng in Finland. In addition, it will also begin operations in Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In these markets the company will initially offer three electric models: the P7 saloon, the G9 SUV and the G6 SUV Coupé.
“Our collaboration with Inchcape in Poland and with Hedin Mobility Group in Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia reinforces our ambitions in Europe. We want drivers in these countries to discover a new standard in electric mobility, combining Xpeng’s innovative technology with exceptional design to deliver a unique experience that meets their current needs.”

Since arriving in Europe four years ago, Xpeng has advanced steadily. In addition to Norway, it is present in many other European countries, such as Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Ireland, among others.
With the expansion into these new markets mentioned above, the Chinese manufacturer hopes to establish itself as a competitive option in the electric vehicle sector, not only in Europe. Its goal is quite ambitious: to have a presence in more than 60 global markets before the end of the year, and for half of its revenue to come from sales in these markets outside China.
