The American supercar Ford GT 2017 can be bought in a custom body colour, but the cost is really outrageous.

More than a year ago, the successor to the iconic Ford GT 40 hit the market: the Ford GT 2017. The American supercar offers a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 647 CV of power and 746 Nm of torque, with performance that makes it a true beast, and we still don’t know all of its details today.

The Michigan (USA) manufacturer has been gradually revealing the specifications of its most sporting model, and the latest detail to come to light is the price of its custom paint. According to Ford Authority, the American firm asks for $30,000 (around 25,300 euros at current exchange rates) from all customers who want their Ford GT 2017 to feature an exclusive body colour.

The American supercar is offered in eight standard shades, but the customer can also choose a colour to order. Among the standard options are two types of finish: plain or with racing strip lines (the famous sporty stripes found on sporty models such as the Mini Cooper Works).

The only customisation available for customers who opt for the standard option is the choice of colour for the racing strip lines, while those customers looking for an exclusive paint job can choose one to order.

To date, the American supercar has been seen in three custom colours: Riviera Blue (the same one Porsche uses on some of its cars), Beryllium Orange and Mantis Green. As we have said, this option carries a surcharge of $30,000 over the original price, which is equivalent to the price of two Ford Fiesta in standard trim.
