Volkner Mobil Performance S, the motorhome that can carry a Porsche inside it

Travelling with a motorhome is one of those pleasures that allow you to move from one place to another without worrying about hotels, stays and places to stop. There are more and more models adapted to this type of mobility, and we can find one that suits the holiday needs we want to have. But sometimes it is a bit cumbersome to have to drive such a large vehicle through towns and cities, and it is advisable to have a normal-sized car to get around in those places. The solution? To have the car included in the motorhome.

That is why one solution that has been found is to place a small garage in a motorhome. One capable of holding a BMW i8 or a Porsche 911.2 Turbo S. Of course, it is not an ordinary motorhome, but the Volkner Mobil Perfomance S, a vehicle created to offer all the comfort of a mobile home, with a garage included so that you can move freely once parked.

A motorhome the size of a bus

This vehicle has been developed by Volkner Mobil to solve this problem. That said, the vehicle has a length of 12 metres, a width of 2.5 metres and reaches a height of 3.85 metres. A bus designed to be a mobile home with all the luxuries. And among those luxuries there is a small space at the bottom, where a bus would carry the passengers’ luggage, and in which a medium-sized car fits.

This garage unfolds to one side and downwards to deposit the car on the ground. The sample images show this sports car, but any car of similar dimensions can be housed in this mobile garage without problems. The presence of this space takes nothing away from comfort on board.

The vehicle is equipped with a rest area, behind the seats of the occupants, with tables, a sofa and many storage elements. There is also a television and integrated speakers, so you can enjoy a comfortable rest. The kitchen is fully equipped with hobs, oven, dishwasher and oven. The bathroom also has a shower and washbasin, so no element of home will be missed.

The sleeping area is at the rear and includes a double bed, with space for storing clothes. A true bedroom for resting on the road. There are two additional beds in the kitchen area, which can be unfolded to accommodate two more people in the vehicle.

As you can see, there is enough space to enjoy a very pleasant holiday, with all the room needed so that nothing is missed. But if more space is needed, the side can be extended once parked and the interior space increases from 30 to 35 square metres.

It is equipped with a 800-litre drinking water tank, a 600-litre black water tank and another 300-litre grey water tank.

A powerful engine

A vehicle of these characteristics needs an engine suited to its size, weight and features. The unit is placed at the rear and is of Volvo origin. It produces 460 CV and runs on fuel stored in the 350-litre tank, which gives it considerable range.

As for the technological equipment, it has several solar panels installed on the roof that allow energy to be obtained for the onboard appliances. These produce 2 400 kW and the energy is stored in 1 800-ampere batteries. It also has several driving assistance systems, which help the driver keep control and increase safety at all times.

The price of this leisure vehicle is 1.6 million euros, and that is without the car. So although you save a fortune on hotels, it may not suit every budget…
