200 horsepower for the Honda Jazz? Everything is possible thanks to Mugen

Finally, a tuner of the stature of Mugen has realised the potential that a market as large as Europe holds for selling its parts, especially after the terrific reception of its latest project, the Honda CR-Z, which was fitted with special elements such as a new supercharger, enough to deliver a 200-horsepower CR-Z.

Well, on this occasion Mugen Europe is apparently considering nothing less than the creation of a vehicle as special as a high-performance Honda Jazz. Specifically, it seems we would be talking about a small city car adapted to deliver a final output, just like the aforementioned CR-Z, of 200 horsepower.

More specifically, it seems the project could go much further, since we would not be looking at a simple mechanical tune-up, but at a unique model sold as a limited edition that, among other things, would directly fit either the former K20 from the Honda Civic Type-R or the enhanced hybrid system found in the CR-Z.

This entire new mechanical package could come, of course, with a unique aerodynamic kit, perhaps similar to the one the brand already sells on the Japanese market and which corresponds to the images you can see throughout this article.

That said, I cannot even imagine a Jazz equipped with a powertrain as outstanding and well-developed as the K20 engine, an engine for which official tuning packages exist on the market capable of raising its performance above 300 horsepower. honda-jazz-mugen-3.jpgInterested in the Mugen Jazz?
