A rear-wheel-drive Lamborghini Huracán in Los Angeles 2015

A new report indicates that Lamborghini plans to show a Huracán in a rear-wheel-drive configuration at the end of this month at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Italian sports car, which originally features an all-wheel-drive system -hence the four in the LP 610-4 designation- will have two variants that send all the power to the rear axle, just as they did with the Lamborghini Gallardo Valentino Balboni edition.
Earlier this year, test driver of the golden bull brand, Giorgio Sanna, claimed that the Huracán would not have one, but two rear-wheel-drive variants, which supports the possibility that we will see the first of these variants at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, according to this report. For the moment there are no official details or data about this RWD variant, but it is expected to affect the weight of the Lamborghini Huracán, which will be reduced from the original 1,422 kilograms.

On the other hand, there is also speculation about an increase in power over the 610 CV and 560 Nm of torque generated by the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine it shares with the second generation of the Audi R8. The exterior could receive a more aggressive finish, and the report also speculates that it could be a limited edition with a price that matches its exclusivity and updates over the standard variant.
For its part, the newly presented Lamborghini Huracán Spyder may benefit from the same treatment during 2016, with a slightly higher price. As for the other rear-wheel-drive variant mentioned by Giorgio Sanna, this could be an LP 610-2, that is, a standard Huracán that sends power to the rear wheels. The order in which these two editions may be presented will be known on 17 November, when the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show opens its doors.
