A two-door convertible Tesla Model S: this is the proposal from Ares Design
The engineers and technicians at Ares Design have presented a two-door convertible Tesla Model S for a mysterious and demanding client.

A Tesla Model S is a car that many dream of. But a two-door convertible Tesla Model S is something out of reach for anyone. Or is it? ARES, an Italian customizer, wanted to show that nothing is impossible and set to work converting one of these cars into something different. Of course, at the request of an anonymous client who wants to enjoy a variant of the Model S that is not available on the traditional market.
From the customizer’s workshop they have removed the rear doors and given the vehicle a very attractive, modern and striking look. In addition, they have removed the hard roof and replaced it with a fabric roof that folds away, stowed in the space reserved for the rear seats, which lose their usefulness in this customized version.

By removing the rear seats they decided to change the front ones, which have been upholstered in a very attractive and eye-catching white leather. Otherwise, a finish with carbon fibre parts has been added to enhance the look, and the rear area has been reinforced to support the weight of the roof and the mechanism that deploys it.

As far as the engine goes, the company has chosen not to touch anything, and apparently everything remains as originally designed. A rollover protection system is missing that would protect the occupants in the event of an accident, but the customizer assures that every car leaving the workshop will include this safety system.
There is no data on the cost of this transformation, although given all the changes the car has undergone, it will not be cheap. Apparently, since it is a client’s commission, they do not wish to make public how much it cost. The good news is that if anyone else is interested in this kind of transformation, it is all a matter of talking about it…
