A wrecked Lamborghini Aventador, this time in Macau

Another Lamborghini Aventador wrecked, this time the culprit doesn’t come from Russia but from Macau.

How many are there now? I still can’t believe it. But what are people doing? Can’t they drive a car? Sure, it’s a supercar, in fact it’s THE supercar, but there’s a world of difference between that and not knowing how to control it in the city. Hardly a week goes by without me writing about an accident involving an Lamborghini Aventador, and this one wasn’t going to be the exception. This reminds me greatly of the fires in the Ferrari 458 Italia from a few years ago, but in these latest cases the blame always lies with the driver and not the machine.

Sure, it has 700 CV, but I believe that power is available at over 8,000 rpm and not at idle. Moreover, its control units are among the most sophisticated around at the moment, and it has traction and stability control systems, yet I still don’t understand what happens in these accidents in the city.

This time we travelled from Russia, where the last incident had occurred, to Macau, where a white Aventador has crashed into an office block. The details of this accident are not known at the moment, but looking at the images, you don’t need much imagination to work out what happened a few days ago.

If a week ago we told you how the 1,000th unit of the Lamborghini LP700-4 rolled off the line, today we show you the seventh crashed unit we know of. The only thing we know is that it can be repaired, and for a few thousand euros its wealthy driver will be able to enjoy this engineering gem again.

It may seem that these cars being destroyed affects me a great deal, but what really gets to me is seeing how people with an enormous amount of money wreck the cars of my dreams as if nothing had happened.
