Abarth wants to celebrate its 70th anniversary with special versions of the Abarth 595 and the Abarth 124 Spider
During the first half of 2019, Abarth will present a special edition of its models, featuring elements that commemorate these 70 years on every unit

Abarth turns 70 in 2019, so it wants to celebrate this special anniversary with special editions of its models. And it will not be a limited edition; the brand wants every unit sold during this year to come with this special anniversary package. Thus, the Abarth 595, Abarth 124 Spider and the Abarth 124 GT are dressed in their luxury finery and they want us to enjoy them even more.
Abarth 595 70th Anniversary
The different versions of the Abarth’s small car come with different features. The entry-level Abarth 595 has a 146 CV engine and a steering wheel with motifs related to the celebration, matching the rest of the decoration. The Abarth 595 Pista also features the Koni FSDs (Frequency Selective Damping) system, a Record Monza exhaust and an Abarth telemetry system, which records performance data and communicates it through a seven-inch screen.

The next level is marked by the Abarth 595 Turismo, which features a 165 CV engine. The upholstery is leather and it has an infotainment system with connectivity to Android and iPhone mobile phones. The optional Urban Pack, with automatic rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlights, comes as standard equipment this year.

Finally, the top of the range is the Abarth 595 Competizione, whose engine produces 180 CV and a Record Monza exhaust. This power is controlled by Brembo brakes. It also has a “Sport” driving mode that makes the exhaust sound more striking and be heard from a distance. The infotainment system is similar to that of the 595 Turismo, and the sports seats are part of the interior decor.
Abarth 124 70th Anniversary
The Abarth 124, the brand’s big brother, has a 1.4-liter engine producing 170 CV and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. The Abarth 124 Spider reaches 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. To show that it is this special edition of the Abarth 124, it features a “70th Anniversary” plaque and, like the previous models, also comes with the Record Monza exhaust.

The soft top, leather seats, the rear window that dampens sound, as well as the windshield and the instrument cluster with a red background complete the model. In the case of the Abarth 124 GT, the roof is carbon fiber, the 17-inch OZ alloy wheels and various carbon elements combine to offer this special edition, which also comes with its corresponding commemorative plaque.
These commemorative models will be on sale from February 1 to June 30, so if you want to enjoy one of them, you still have time.
