Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA, the legend returns for just 500 lucky owners
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA returns more powerful, lighter and more exclusive than ever. Only 500 lucky buyers will get to take the wheel.

The Visconti brand has just celebrated its 110th anniversary and for this reason has wanted to revive one of its living legends: the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA. This new sports saloon is inspired by the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA of 1965. The GTA letters are linked to competition, and their meaning is “Gran Turismo Alleggerita” (Lightened Grand Touring).
This new Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA derives from the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, although it now fits a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine from the Italian brand capable of delivering up to 540 CV. These figures are achieved thanks to ultra-light materials that have reduced its weight by 100 kg. The Alfa Romeo Giulia now has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.82 kg/CV, which, according to the brand, “makes it the best in its class”.

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA has also improved its aerodynamics, alignment and handling. The GTA letters are also accompanied by a track version called the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. It is aimed at drivers who want that extra shot of adrenaline behind the wheel.
Among other features, the Giulia GTAm fits only two bucket seats, a roll bar and six-point legal safety harnesses for road use.

Alfa Romeo Giulia: GTA and GTAm
The Visconti brand will offer only 500 certified and numbered units. The lucky few will get to take the wheel of one of these jewels. In addition, the Italian manufacturer itself has pointed out that buyers will enjoy “an exclusive customer experience, a personalised sales process and a specific experience kit”.
For Alfa Romeo, this new vehicle represents the “return to the roots of Alfa Romeo, deeply rooted in the world of performance and grand touring”. The new GTA stands out for its large rear spoiler, its side skirts and its active front splitter. The new sports saloon also features a titanium exhaust system signed by Akrapovič, integrated into the carbon-fibre rear diffuser, and 20-inch single-lug-nut wheels.

In addition, the track widths have been increased by 50 mm on both the front and rear axles. As for the GTAm, as the Italian brand itself reported, “the aerodynamic front has been optimised using a larger front splitter and a genuine carbon-fibre rear wing, which ensure increased and perfectly balanced downforce at high speeds. In terms of performance, the 100% aluminium 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine, capable of unleashing no less than 510 CV in standard specification, reaches 540 CV in the Giulia GTA, thanks to the meticulous development and calibration work of Alfa Romeo’s engineers, who have also managed to optimise the positive impact of the new central titanium Akrapovič exhaust system with an unmistakable sound”.

Unlike the GTA, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm offers a two-seat configuration that is also homologated for road use. With the larger front splitter and the carbon rear wing, it is “the ultimate expression of sportiness.”

When the 500 lucky buyers receive their exclusive model, the Italian brand will present them with a personalised kit consisting of a Bell helmet detailed in the special GTA colours, a complete track set comprising a racing suit, gloves and boots by Alpinestars, and a cover for the vehicle by Goodwool to protect the exclusive model. In addition, Alfa Romeo will give them a specific driving course held at the Alfa Romeo Driving Academy.
