This Wednesday the first Nissan Pulsar rolled off the assembly line. The Zona Franca plant in Barcelona has thus begun sales of this new model from the Japanese brand, and it wanted to do so by giving that first production unit to a very special “customer”.

The lucky owner of the first Nissan Pulsar is the UEFA Champions League ambassador and FC Barcelona star, Andrés Iniesta. The Barça player, who also serves as the brand’s international ambassador, received the car a few weeks before it reaches dealerships around the world.

Andrés Iniesta not only collected the car as it came off the assembly line, but also visited the Barcelona factory to see how this model is built. He also had time to chat with some of the plant’s employees and saw them at work in situ. The employees welcomed the player with great enthusiasm and attended to him with real pleasure.

The Nissan Pulsar goes on sale this autumn and comes equipped with many of the brand’s safety technologies, known as the Nissan Intelligent Shield. As a novelty, it is the only car in its range with a movement sensor, an unintended lane-change warning and blind-spot monitoring.

We have already talked about this model, which has even been driven by our colleague Daniel, who wrote a thorough summary of the impressions he had behind the wheel of the test unit. I invite you to join him on that experience and take a closer look at what this new Nissan model has to offer.
