BMW unveils its latest creation: the new 2 Series Cabrio

BMW has decided to present the latest version of the 2 Series. We are talking about the 2 Series Cabrio, the new creation of one of the most attractive BMW of recent years.
It will make its physical debut at the Paris Motor Show in just three weeks’ time, from where we will tell you all the details.
The 2 Series Cabrio takes over from the 1 Series Cabrio, continuing as the smallest convertible from the German brand. The exterior design offers a dynamic and sporty look, very much in the style of the Bavarian marque. This 2 Series Cabrio goes straight up against models such as the Audi A3 Cabrio, its arch-rival. The roof is made of fabric, unlike the 4 Series or Z4, but similar to that of the 6 Series.

The interior is practically identical to that of the conventional 2 Series, which guarantees a quality cabin with sober and elegant lines, similar to those found in other models of the brand such as the 1 Series or the 3 Series. Four passengers will travel comfortably (the two in the back perhaps a little less so), and will have the opportunity to enjoy a very pleasant journey if they decide to fold down the roof.
The structure of the 2 Series Cabrio has been suitably reinforced to keep rigidity as high as possible, offering a driving experience worthy of what is expected from a BMW. This model will be offered in a 190 CV diesel version (220d), as well as with three petrol alternatives (220i of 184 CV, 228i of 245 CV and M235i of 326 CV). They can be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox, as well as an 8-speed automatic.

The performance of the M235i stands out in particular, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds (5 seconds with the automatic gearbox), reaching a self-limited top speed of 250 km/h. Prices will start at approximately 36,000 euros.
