Another Ferrari 458 Italia in flames

Another Ferrari 458 Italia has fallen to the flames of spontaneous fires, which are already commonplace in one of the Maranello house’s products.

By now I am seriously doubting Ferrari, even though not all mortals with plenty of money to buy a supercar are good at keeping their car properly cared for and maintained. But the number of Ferraris going up in flames is brutally high.

I am not exaggerating when I say that almost every week we get news of one or two Ferraris meeting their end in flames, Maranello supercars that seem to suffer in summer more than any other. The latest case we are going to show you happened in Switzerland, when a 458 Italia caught fire in the middle of the A5 motorway. The result was another 458 beyond repair.

If we were dealing with other brands that catch fire spontaneously, we would today be talking about scandals of worldwide proportions. But it seems that Ferrari has a protective shield over its head against the warnings from the authorities who oversee road safety and who trigger the issuing of recall notices.

Either these Ferrari that catch fire did not respond to the latest recall to better protect the fuel system, or the recall has been of no use at all.
