Tesla vs Fisker: the duel has begun
Elon Musk criticized the Fisker Karma and Henrik Fisker, saying the Karma was an expensive and mediocre car.

It has not been quiet days for Fisker. Last week it had to clarify a couple of problems with the Fisker Karma that were catching fire on their own, which led to a recall of the Karmas to make some modifications to the cooling electrical circuit. However, this appears to be a weakness that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, has wanted to take advantage of .
In an interview granted to Automobile Magazine, the CEO of Tesla unloaded on the Karma and on Henrik Fisker, saying the Karma is a very expensive car and that its design is mediocre.
Let us recall that the conflict pitting these two millionaires against each other over electric cars (although the Karma is not fully electric) dates back some time, when Fisker was an employee of Tesla Motors and was in charge of designing the future Model S, but at the same time he was devising his own car, which turned out to be the Karma.
Among other criticisms, Elon Musk pointed out that while Tesla makes all the components of the Model S by itself, Fisker has to buy the engines from GM and build the vehicles in Finland. Furthermore, Fisker gives priority to design style, whereas Tesla prefers to show a technologically more advanced vehicle than the Karma.
Fisker’s reply was not long in coming, saying that they have already beaten Tesla in court and that they are happy Musk thinks the Karma is a car that looks good.
Beyond that, Elon Musk should apply some basic principles of car sales: one of the rules that should never be forgotten in sales is not to waste time speaking badly of rivals, when you should use it to speak well of your own product. Speaking badly of the competition could backfire on Tesla at the worst possible moment.
