Artega goes bankrupt
Artega would have filed for bankruptcy in a German court. The Artega GT is its only product worth mentioning.

Although there is a true multitude of independent coachbuilders trying to enter the market, the vast majority of them with sports cars, not all of them get very far and many fall by the wayside. The situation -similar for almost all of them- is as follows: it has produced only one model, it has been absent from the scene for almost two years, and now we learn that it has filed for bankruptcy.
Artega, the creator of the Artega GT, has already met the requirements for filing for bankruptcy before the German courts in Paderborn. The last opportunity Artega was hoping for to save itself has failed; an Asian investor withdrew from the negotiations for possible investment in the brand at the last moment.
Founded in 2006, during its short life Artega was only able to show us the Artega GT, as well as an electric prototype, the Artega SE, a vehicle that could have competed head-to-head with the Tesla Roadster had the situation been different.
For now, Artega continues to search for other investors to save what remains of the brand through a possible sale. This craft German brand employed only 34 people.
