Aston Martin Vantage Convertibles Supercars
Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster, the convertible version limited to 249 units
The Aston Martin Vantage has a new version, this time a convertible, which is part of a special edition limited to 249 units, all of which have already been sold.

A few days ago, Aston Martin unveiled the DBR22 prototype, which serves as the showcase for the brand’s new proposal for a high-performance convertible. But since that was only a prototype, the brand wanted to go a step further and has presented a production model that will actually offer the characteristics of a vehicle of this kind. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is the brand’s convertible variant, and it is here to stay.
That said, this model is very exclusive, and only 249 units will be built. All of them have already been sold, so it will not be possible to get one under any circumstances. It will be road-homologated and is based on the Aston Martin Vantage, so its bodywork will be very reminiscent of that model.

Even so, this variant has several differences from the model it is based on. The wheel arches are larger to accommodate the 40 mm of additional wheelbase that this variant has. The front splitter has also been changed, and the grille is somewhat larger than on the Vantage.

The 21-inch forged alloy wheels complete the look, which lacks a rear spoiler, at least in the standard version. Carbon fibre is used on many parts of the bodywork to reduce overall weight. The stainless steel exhaust, the carbon fibre brake system and the seats made of the same material, which are optional, also help to reduce the model’s weight.
The total weight of this variant is 1,855 kg, which represents an increase of 60 kg over the coupé version. As with the latter, it offers many customisation options, making it a car that could become one of the most exclusive on the market.
Engine
As for the engine, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster uses a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine. This unit develops 700 CV and a maximum torque of 753 Nm, which reaches the rear wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
With all this, the convertible accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, while its top speed is 322 km/h.
