Aston Martin Vantage: the new incarnation of the modern classic arrives in 2025

Aston Martin has unveiled this new generation of the Vantage, a model that features several improvements over the current generation and will go on sale in 2024.

Aston Martin Vantage 2023 (22)

The Aston Martin Vantage is one of the most imposing models from a brand whose cars are all very imposing. It has been redesigned to present an outstanding look and performance so as to be the preferred choice for buyers. Its overall size has grown, and the vehicle is now 30 mm wider.

The front grille has also been enlarged by up to 38%, achieving 29% more airflow, which improves engine cooling. This airflow is further enhanced by two additional air intakes on either side of the car. A splitter can also be seen, which improves the model’s aerodynamics.

The front end is completed by LED matrix headlights with integrated daytime running lights, as found on the Aston Martin DB12. At the rear, a distinctive bumper has been added, with integrated air outlets, a new four-outlet exhaust, and an LED light strip running along the boot lid. The wheels measure 21 inches and are fitted with Pirelli Pilot Sport S tyres, sized 275/35 at the front and 325/30 at the rear. Other decorative details include the mirrors, which lack housings and give a sportier appearance.

The interior also brings news, with changes that include design and high-quality materials. The central screen of the Aston Martin Vantage measures 12.25 inches and is integrated into the dashboard. The leather covering the seats is supplied by Bridge of Weir, offering the touch and characteristic scent of Aston Martin models.

The sound system comes from Bowers & Wilkins. It delivers 390 W through eleven speakers, achieving exceptional quality. For even greater sound quality, a Halo system is available, offering an even more special audio experience, with 1,190 W and 15 speakers.

Although the screen brings together many of the car’s control functions, there are several physical controls that allow you to adjust things such as chassis control, driving modes, ESP, exhaust sound and, of course, gear selection.

Engine of the Aston Martin Vantage

The new Aston Martin Vantage uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with two turbos, producing 665 CV and 800 Nm of torque, sent directly to the rear axle. These figures represent an increase of 155 CV and 115 Nm, or 30% and 15% more than the previous model. The ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and gives it a top speed of 325 km/h.

The Launch Control system combines the E-Diff with the ESP traction control and torque control, keeping wheel slip within the optimal range throughout the launch. The driving modes adjust the various elements of traction and suspension to deliver the best result in each setting.

Improvements over the previous version

In this new version of the Vantage, the dampers increase by 500% the bandwidth of force distribution. This makes the driving feel different, more intense. The brakes measure 400 mm at the front wheels and 360 mm at the rear. They are cast iron, although carbon-ceramic units are available as an option.

Overall, considerable work has gone into improving every aspect that could be refined from the previous generation. As a result, the new Aston Martin Vantage becomes a truly memorable car.

As for the arrival of this Aston Martin Vantage on the market, the probable date has been set for the second quarter of 2024. The price is not yet known, but we expect it to be considerably higher than the €178,000 that the current generation costs.
