Audi has everything ready for the presentation of the new Audi Q6 e-tron on 18 March

After several teasers and a postponed production, Audi announces that on 18 March it will fully unveil its new 100% electric SUV from the brand of the four rings

We had already seen several details about the design and the interior of the prototypes of the new Audi Q6 e-tron. In September, we could see its interior packed with technology and an incredible panoramic screen, but in October they announced that its production would be delayed until early this year due to software problems and the development of the PPE platform.

Well, that moment has arrived, and Audi, after carrying out the final preliminary validations, has announced the presentation date for this incredible 100% electric SUV. The Audi Q6 e-tron will be unveiled on 18 March. Initially, the first deliveries are expected during the summer, with initial prices between 60,000 and 70,000 euros.

This Audi model shares the Premium platform for high-end electric cars with the recently presented Porsche Macan. The manufacturer has given us a small preview of its silhouette and the rear left light cluster of the model that will compete with rivals such as the BMW iX3 or the Tesla Model Y thanks to its 4.75 metres in length.

The next generation of this vehicle will be equipped with two battery options: one of 86 kWh and another of 100 kWh, providing a maximum range of around 600 km on the WLTP cycle. This performance is similar to that achieved by the Porsche Macan under similar conditions.

In terms of charging, it is expected to reach a maximum power of 270 kW on direct current, allowing charging from 10 to 80% in just 21 minutes. In addition, it is likely to include the “bank charging” technology, which splits the 800-volt battery pack into two 400-volt packs when connected to this type of charging station, thereby reducing waiting times.

Audi plans to offer multiple mechanical options for this model. It has been announced that the entry-level version will be called Q6 e-tron 45 with rear-wheel drive, while the top variant will be the Q6 e-tron 55 quattro, with all-wheel drive.

The flagship will be the SQ6 e-tron quattro, following the brand’s tradition. This model is expected to offer impressive performance, with around 517 CV (380 kW) and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4.5 seconds. It would not be surprising if Audi expanded the range in the future with an RSQ6 e-tron version, comparable to the Macan Turbo, which could reach 639 CV (470 kW) and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
