Audi R8 GT 2013, at Le Mans

The most sporting version of the Audi R8 would be very close to its launch, specifically in September of this same year, coinciding with the running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
We are referring to the Audi R8 GT, the most aggressive and performance-oriented model in the range of the German brand’s supercar. Continuing the limited edition that seduced the most demanding buyers, the new R8 GT will position itself as the highest rung within the mid-engined, quattro all-wheel-drive model line.
The new Audi R8 GT will feature an even further revised version of the 5.2 V10 naturally aspirated engine fitted to the R8 V10 Plus, so output is expected to be around 600 CV, enabling it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just over 3 seconds and a top speed of around 330 km/h. The R8 GT will come as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and optionally with the 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic.
The bodywork changes will follow the path set by the previous R8 GT, so more aggressive air intakes are expected, combined with aerodynamic add-ons such as small front lip spoilers and a large rear wing. For the interior, a sports pack is expected to arrive with very sporty bucket seats, racing harnesses and even roll bars, a whole arsenal typical of vehicles intended for competition.
The new Audi R8 GT will have a price close to 180,000-200,000 euros, positioning it alongside rivals such as the Porsche 911 GT3 or the Ferrari 458 Italia.
