Audi RS6 Avant 2020, is it closer than we think?
The brand with the four rings has released, via Facebook, a teaser of what could be the new Audi RS6 Avant 2020.

A few weeks ago, Audi Sport, the sporting division of the brand with the four rings, announced the arrival of no fewer than six RS models. Now, they have just published a post on their Facebook page to show what appears to be the long-awaited Audi RS6 Avant 2020.
The rival to the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Estate will remain under wraps until early September, when it will be unveiled in Berlin, Germany, in front of the members of the Audi Sport drivers’ club. It is very likely that it will then be taken to the Frankfurt Motor Show, which starts next September 10 for international media and two days later for the public.

As far as styling goes, the dark image gives us a hint of the rear light design, as well as the muscular rear wings, the small roof antenna and the rails. However, spy photographers’ shots have already revealed a more aggressive approach, with unique headlights, a redesigned front and rear bumper, specific wheels, ground clearance and some other vents and creases, which will also carry over into the cabin.
According to the latest reports, the Audi RS6 Avant 2020 will be powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, with output between 600 and 650 CV. Rumours have also spoken of a possible hybrid version that could share the same powertrain as the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. That same powertrain will, in turn, also be shared with the Audi RS7 Sportback, but we are not holding our breath for any of them.

Audi RS6 Avant 2020, closer than ever
Apart from what could be the new Audi RS6 Avant, the sporting division of the four-ring firm has shown a total of six new cars that are yet to come. The first from the left, in terms of volume and shapes, fits perfectly with the arrival of the Audi RS6 Avant, while beside it could be the Audi RS7 Sportback.

Moving from left to right, in the centre we would find what appear to be two small SUVs, two very similar models that would almost come hand in hand: the Audi RS Q3 and Audi RS Q3 Sportback, derived from the mid-size SUV that has just been recently presented. In their case, the output is likely to be around 420 CV, sourced from the already famous 2.5-litre turbo engine of the German brand.

Sharper and more aggressive, the Audi A4 has recently debuted a new configuration for a car that remains one of the pillars of the brand with the four rings. This family, which has received a restyling, now lacks a performance version that could well be the Audi RS4 Avant.

Finally, we come to the largest of all the upcoming Audi Sport models to be presented. There is little doubt that this sporty SUV will be the Audi RS Q8, a crossover equipped with the 4.0-litre V8 engine that would produce around 650 CV.
