Audi TTS, BMW M240i and Porsche Cayman. Which one is the best over one lap?

Auto Sport’s colleagues time these three models, which are so evenly matched in performance. Who will win?

With models like the Audi TTS, the BMW M240i or the Porsche Cayman, you don’t need to turn to more sporty versions to achieve great performance on a track. In this video we can see the three models mentioned above in action around the Hockenheim circuit (Germany). On paper these cars are very similar, but their lap times tell a different story…

The Audi TTS has 310 CV of power, the BMW M240i offers 340 CV and the Porsche Cayman 300 CV. The Audi and the Porsche weigh practically the same, while the BMW is the heaviest of the three, 85 kg more than the TTS and 105 kg more than the Cayman. To compensate, the M240i offers the highest torque of the three, 500 Nm; both the TTS and the Cayman offer 380 Nm. In acceleration, things are also quite evenly matched: the Audi and the BMW reach 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, while the Porsche needs 0.3 seconds more to do the same.
