BYD Seal 08 Sedans Electric Cars
BYD reaches 17 million units built with a SEAL 08
BYD has reached a milestone by building 17 million plug-in vehicles, an honour that has fallen to a SEAL 08, just launched on the Chinese market.

BYD was an almost unknown brand until not long ago, but it has now become one of the most popular on the international market, and Europe is indeed part of the market where the Chinese brand’s models are sold. BYD’s popularity has grown both in its country of origin and across the rest of the world, to the point that the company has bought several transport ships to carry its cars around the globe.
The battery technology developed by BYD has earned it a leading position in the plug-in vehicle industry. Its new ultra-fast charging system FLASH Charging has helped it position itself among the top spots in this type of vehicle. The brand’s success is such that it has just built its 17 millionth unit at its Xi’an plant.

The honour fell to a unit of the BYD SEAL 08, an E-segment saloon presented recently at the Beijing Motor Show and just put on sale in China. This model, positioned in the executive saloon segment, is available in an electric version offering a range of up to 905 kilometres under the CLTC homologation cycle.

To further strengthen its presence in the global market, BYD is preparing the deployment of 20,000 FLASH Charge stations in China, as well as 6,000 of these chargers in the rest of the countries. It will allocate 3,000 stations to Europe, of which 300 will be installed in Spain and another 50 in Portugal.
With this milestone of 17 million plug-in vehicles built, BYD continues to implement technologies and systems to keep setting the pace for other manufacturers and to remain a benchmark in the battery vehicle market.
