BYD Tang 2025: more electric, more powerful, more range and a starting price of €72,000
With 517 hp, all-wheel drive AWD and a range of up to 530 km, the BYD TANG is set to redefine the 7-seat electric SUV segment
BYD introduces an update for one of its models, the 7-seat electric SUV, the BYD TANG, which launches a new trim called Flagship. Its main improvement is the battery, which takes range from the previous 400 km to the current 530 km. This new trim has a starting price of €72,000 and offers the concept of a family vehicle with 7 seats, interior luxury that has nothing to envy from its main rivals, and technology and power that are quite competent for a 100% electric car.
Design of the BYD Tang
The new BYD TANG stands out for a modern, aerodynamic design that combines elegance and sportiness. Its aggressive front end, with angular full-LED headlights and the trim piece bearing the BYD emblem, gives it an unmistakable presence. The sloping roofline and the prominent waistline add a dynamic look, while the rear, with three-dimensional lighting running across the full width of the vehicle, reinforces its premium character.
To complete its look, the BYD TANG comes as standard with 21-inch wheels fitted with MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4 SUV tyres, ensuring excellent grip and low rolling resistance. In addition, customers can choose from three exclusive colours: Snow White, Mountain Grey and Silver Sand Black.

High-end interior
At almost 5 metres long, the electric SUV offers generous space for seven passengers. The seat configuration is flexible, allowing the boot capacity to vary from 235 litres up to an impressive 1,655 litres with the two rear rows folded down.
Premium comfort is ensured by features such as the front seats with multi-directional electric adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage function. The Nappa leather upholstery, the panoramic sunroof and an ambient lighting system with 31 customisable colours reinforce the sense of exclusivity. The BYD TANG also includes cutting-edge technology, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm SA8155 processor for ultra-fast response.

New battery with fast charging
One of the strong points of the BYD TANG is its new Blade Battery, with capacity increased to 108.8 kWh (previously 86.4 kWh). Thanks to this, the electric SUV achieves a range of up to 530 km on the WLTP combined cycle and up to 681 km on the urban cycle.
Charging time has also been optimised: the BYD TANG supports DC charging of up to 170 kW, allowing it to recharge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. It also incorporates a heat pump to improve thermal efficiency and the V2L function (Vehicle-to-Load), which allows external devices to be powered with up to 4 kW.

Intelligent all-wheel drive
The BYD TANG is not only a family SUV, it is also a high-performance machine. Its dual propulsion system combines two electric motors, delivering a total output of 517 hp (380 kW) and 700 Nm of torque. As a result, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 km/h.
The intelligent all-wheel drive system AWD continuously adjusts the power distribution between axles to maximise grip and stability. In addition, the BYD TANG is equipped with high-performance Brembo brakes and the BYD DiSus-C intelligent suspension system, which optimises comfort and driving dynamics.

First-class equipment and safety
The BYD TANG is sold in Spain in a single trim, Flagship, which includes exceptional equipment for €72,000. Among its standout features are:
- Three-zone climate control with air purifier
- Dynaudio sound system with 12 speakers
- 360-degree camera
- Head-up Display projected onto the windscreen

In terms of safety, the BYD TANG has achieved the 5-star Euro NCAP rating and incorporates up to 32 driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, driver fatigue detection, automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition.
