The iconic legend of the 1980s could be reborn, inspiring a new model. This is the announcement made by BMW’s design chief to a major magazine. Anything is possible as we await the M2, the rumour of an M2 CSL and the celebration of the Bavarian firm’s centenary in 2016.
GM has decided to pull the German brand out of Russia at the end of this year and close the factory in Saint Petersburg. Two internal sources at the manufacturer told Reuters that, from the brand’s perspective, the lower sales of this variant compared with the five-door version make it a very likely candidate for discontinuation. This measure would be added to others aimed at saving more with the sixth generation, which will arrive in 2017.
