Citroën will offer its entire electrified range this year
For Citroën, 2024 will be a key year for electrification: with the arrival of the Citroën Ë-C3, the brand will bring electric technology to the general public by offering this model, with aid, from 17,000 euros.
The brand has announced that during 2024 it will offer electrified alternatives across its entire range, both in passenger cars and in the light commercial vehicle segment, many of them fully electric. In addition, it is carrying out a plan for the renewal of the brand image in its showrooms and will also present the new brand philosophy across its light commercial vehicle range.
2023 ended well for Citroën, which closed with 58,995 registrations of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, with a 5.4% share of the Spanish market, entering the top 3 of the total market and consolidating its leadership in light commercial vehicles. In the commercial vehicle segment, Citroën finished the year with 16,672 registrations and an 11.3% market share.

Citroën is making progress in the electric vehicle market, where it reached 3,880 registrations, 82% more than the previous year. It stands on the podium in this category, with a 6.4% penetration rate. The electric light commercial vehicle range ranks as leader in Spain, with 2,318 units registered, up 236% on the previous year, with a 24.4% share.
In terms of models, the Citroën C4 leads the B-segment saloon category, with 11,544 registrations in 2023, while the Citroën C5 X does the same in the D segment, with 1,370 units. The Ami, with 843 units, accounts for 87.7% of the electric quadricycle market. Meanwhile, the Citroën Berlingo was the best-selling commercial vehicle of the year.
Many new features
2024 will be driven by the launch of the new Citroën Ë-C3, a simple and affordable model set to revolutionise the urban electric segment in Europe, presented as the first “zero emissions” car manufactured in Europe and sold for less than 25,000 euros (its base price, without aid, will be 23,800 euros in Spain).

The new Citroën Ë-C3 features progressive suspension with hydraulic bump stops, seats Advanced Comfort, and a high level of equipment, safety and connectivity. It promises a range of 320 km on the WLTP cycle, and its charging speed is claimed to take it from 20% to 80% in 26 minutes. In addition, the range will be reinforced with electrified 48 V MHEV alternatives.
The current C3 will remain on sale in the dealer network, and the C3 Aircross SUV variant will receive important new features, also electrified. Likewise, special editions will be launched on several models: ë-Series on the ë-C4 and ë-C4 X and PHEV and MHEV versions of the C5 Aircross
, as well as Hypnos on the Citroën C5 X Plug-In Hybrid.

There will also be surprises in the light commercial vehicle area, with the renewal of the brand image and the introduction of the new brand logo on all its models. The Citroën Berlingo will add Advanced Comfort seats to its equipment and incorporate the Citroën Drive Plus connectivity system, as well as offer an alternative with M1 approval and a diesel engine. This year will also see two very special models: the Citroën Type Holidays camper and the Citroën Ami Buggy.
