How much does it cost to lighten a Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV?

Logic says that anyone who buys a car with a substantial number of hundreds of horsepower under their right foot does so to make the most of its performance. However, this is not always the case, and many supercars end up parked in the garage of a “wealthy man” alongside other models with similar characteristics. Others, on the other hand, take them out for a leisurely Sunday drive and attract plenty of attention.

It is true that not many supercars are sold, which is only logical. But those of us who love this kind of car want to see them on the street, but also in their natural habitat: the circuits. Few are the enthusiasts of extreme speed and maximum dynamic efficiency who can afford a car like the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV, which costs almost 450,000 euros.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV is the most performance-oriented edition of the Italian model. It was launched in 2015, based on the Aventador LP 700-4, although with an improved look and 50 more horsepower from the naturally aspirated V12 engine. Later, a limited series of 500 units of a convertible variant called the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster was also launched, priced at over 480,000 euros.

Anyone who truly wants to unlock the full potential of this Superveloce should pay attention to the upgrades proposed by Vitesse AuDessus. They do not increase the power of the V12, nor do they make its already rigid chassis any stiffer. The changes offered by this supercar tuner focus on weight reduction, without sacrificing cabin comfort, using carbon fibre for the bodywork and the wheels.

Vitesse AuDessus offers two distinct packages, although many more parts can be bought individually outside these packages. The first, called Essentials, replaces the front bumper, side skirts, mirrors and rear diffuser. Its price is 15,525 dollars, roughly 13,700 euros at the current exchange rate. Adding carbon fibre wheels costs another 20,000 dollars, bringing the total past 31,000 euros. The second package, called the Extended Package, adds a carbon fibre bonnet to the above, costing 19,700 euros in total; adding the carbon fibre wheels takes it to more than 37,300 euros.

All of these changes are available for both the coupé and the Roadster. The bodywork parts can be finished in gloss or matt, according to the customer’s taste. Unlike other tuning jobs, with this one only the customer will know that the car has been modified, if they so choose.

If you want only the wheels, without buying any of the packages, their price goes from 20,000 dollars to 25,000 (from 17,670 to something over 22,000 euros). With these carbon fibre wheels, the tuner claims that the unsprung mass can be reduced by 50 pounds, that is, a little over 22.6 kilograms. The customer may also choose to have wheels like those of the standard model or replicas of those used on the Lamborghini Veneno.
