Dartz Pombron Nagel: the first armoured sportback

Being a billionaire in Russia does not seem to be the safest option in the world, after seeing the Pombron Monaco BR6, a Russian-style Hummer with armour comparable to that of a tank. Those who now want to buy a sportback, so fashionable at the moment, will have the option of the less attractive Pombron Nagel.

The Nagel is the sporty version of the Pombron SUV, so to speak, since its chassis is the same as that one. A body so varied has been added that it may give the impression of being the unwanted child of a cross between a Countach and a Cadillac.

One of the goals of “this” is to be the vehicle that tows a luxury yacht, since it can comfortably haul up to 5 tonnes, thanks to its powerplant with 2,000 horsepower. That powerplant is a complete mystery, since not even on the website of Gray Design — Pombron’s collaborator for this monstrosity — is it specified. It only says it would reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

The Nagel’s armour allows it to withstand bomb impacts, mines, light weapons and all kinds of other weapons. Because it is not only about travelling safely, but also doing so with a certain “style” in a monstrosity that costs on average six zeros.
