Denza celebrates its arrival in the European market with an event in Paris
Denza’s Premium electric vehicle range for the European market represents a new definition of luxury, where advanced technology is integrated into everyday life to deliver a cleaner, simpler and more satisfying experience.
Denza, the Premium vehicle brand of BYD, has just taken an important step in its international expansion after officially debuting in Europe. To celebrate, the Chinese brand held an event at the historic Palais Garnier in Paris, where it presented the two models that will initially be available in its European lineup: the Z9 GT, an imposing fully electric shooting brake, and the luxurious D9 DM-i MPV with plug-in hybrid technology.
Denza had already announced its intention to start operations in Germany by the end of 2025. The company opened its first European showroom in Munich during the past IAA Mobility and, after that first move, has finally confirmed its continental debut in the French capital.

Under the motto “Technology Drives Elegance“, the brand aims to redefine the European premium segment by combining advanced technology, elegance and sustainability, focusing exclusively on new energy vehicles -pure electric and plug-in hybrids-.
Denza’s vehicle range for the European market
The Denza Z9 GT is the brand’s flagship. Equipped with three motors that together deliver 850 kW of power, this impressive model is capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in just 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 270 km/h. It also features a 122.5 kWh battery pack that allows a WLTP range of up to 600 km. In Germany, its price starts at 115,000 euros. In the near future, a somewhat more affordable plug-in hybrid version will also be available, with a base price of 101,000 euros and a combined range of 800 km.
One of the major novelties Denza will bring to Europe is the second generation of the Blade Battery, along with the Flash Charging ultra-fast charging system capable of peaks of 1,500 kW, which we have already discussed here at HighMotor. Thanks to this innovative technology, it is possible to increase the state of charge from 10 to 70 percent in just five minutes. Practically the same time it takes to refuel at a petrol station with a combustion-engine vehicle, or even less.

However, in Europe this maximum power will initially only be achieved with connectors adapted to the Chinese standard. BYD plans to install 6,000 Flash Charging stations outside China over the next twelve months, of which 3,000 will be in Europe.
For its part, the Denza D9 DM-i is a spacious and comfortable premium MPV, ideal for families or executive transfers. It offers room for seven adults, along with seven 20-inch cabin suitcases and seven business backpacks. Its plug-in hybrid all-wheel-drive system provides 210 km of electric range and up to 950 km combined.

Sales of the Z9 GT will begin in the coming weeks in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, with free charging promotions for those who book early.
