Doesn't the McLaren 570S sound loud enough? Don't worry, MSO has the perfect solution
McLaren will offer a new exhaust system for the 570S and 570GT. This will be thanks to the MSO department, which will handle the installation process.

A supercar is synonymous with sportiness, speed and luxury, characteristics that major manufacturers aim to reflect in every aspect of their products. However, some brands take the level of exclusivity of their models even further, which is what happens with McLaren and its more “modest” creation, the 570S. The British company has just announced that it will offer its customers substantial upgrades that will make its supercar sound simply heavenly.
The company’s MSO department -McLaren Special Operations- has drawn on its resources to offer its most exclusive customers a series of features that are not available to everyone. Let us recall that this department specifically provides official modifications for McLaren that are not listed in the options menu of the company’s supercars. On this occasion, the company has chosen to place greater emphasis on the exhaust system of the 570S and 570GT.
Since the arrival of turbocharged engines, many enthusiasts have voiced their dissatisfaction with the sound these engines produce. However, several companies have worked hard to deliver a melody capable of delighting anyone who hears it. In this way, McLaren customers will be able to fit an exhaust system that considerably enhances this aspect, so that the 570S produces a far more appealing sound.

Beneath the skin of the entry-level model from the Woking-based firm, we find a 3.8-litre V8 engine capable of producing 570 CV -as its name suggests- and 600 Nm of torque. These figures place the 570S squarely in the supercar world, which is why the brand’s engineers wanted to give it an even more special exhaust. This new system will save weight, to be exact 2.26 kilograms lighter and its sound will be increased by 5 decibels.
McLaren has confirmed that the sound this new system generates will be much purer and cleaner, so that the vehicle’s sportiness can be felt in every fibre of its structure. At the same time, the British firm has also made some aesthetic changes, such as the addition of a more aggressive front splitter or the redesigned rear diffuser.

The company has not forgotten those customers who came before, and although for now this modification will only be available on the 570 CV models, all those who purchased their McLaren 570S or 570GT earlier will be able to carry out the upgrade successfully. Meanwhile, the fortunate owners who opt for it will have to pay £4,750, which is equivalent to €5,350.
