Elon Musk refuses to give up and announces the upcoming Tesla Pick-up
Despite the problems Elon Musk is facing, the entrepreneur wants to stay ahead of his competitors and will unveil an electric pick-up truck in a few years

Elon Musk continues to fight in the automotive market, although it seems the stars are turning against him and Tesla keeps making headlines for the bad news affecting his company. Production problems, lack of liquidity and many other issues are trying to torpedo the entrepreneur’s natural optimism, but he is not giving up. The Tesla Semi is already taking shape and, taking advantage of the development of this 100% electric truck, he has just announced the launch of the Tesla Pick-up, the first of its kind to see the light of day, which promises strong performance.
There is no need to rush to see it, because it is a concept that has not yet left the drawing board and will still take quite a while to become a physical reality. In fact, Musk himself has asked his followers, through his Twitter account, to tell him which specifications they want to see in this future commercial vehicle from the brand. For now, he has offered, also through that channel, several options the Pick-up could have, but only in general terms.

Among the features this new electric vehicle may include are an automatic parallel parking assistant, 360º cameras and sonar sensors. All very generic, although it is assumed it will feature the technology characteristic of Tesla. As for traction, it seems, and again according to Elon Musk’s own statements, it will have a range of between 643 and 805 kilometres.
Being an industrial and commercial vehicle, Musk wants to go beyond other similar vehicles and will install power outlets for machinery running at 240 V, powered by the vehicle’s own battery. Among other mechanical features, Musk claims it will have a “crazy” torque, four-wheel drive and adaptive suspension that will adjust to the load it is carrying at any given moment.
For now, Tesla will focus on the Model Y and the Model 3, while continuing to develop the Tesla Semi, without abandoning the intention to position itself in the Pick-up market, a type of vehicle that is becoming increasingly popular internationally.
