Fiat 500 Hybrid Red: The special edition of the small Italian hybrid is now available

The Fiat 500 Hybrid has just launched the new special edition RED, a version with a design full of charm that also has a social purpose: the RED organisation, founded by the popular artist Bono, will use part of the proceeds to strengthen health systems and support life-saving programmes in the most disadvantaged areas of the world.

The hybrid version is not the only one in this RED range: there is also the 100% electric version of the 500, the 500X and the 500L. With all this, the new 500 Hybrid Red will be offered in two body variants and based on the Dolcevita trim, so this small special edition comes with a generous level of equipment, which we will now tell you about.

A specific design

In terms of design, the new 500 Hybrid Red is available in four colour options: Gelato White, Passione Red, Pompei Grey and Besuvio Black. Whatever your choice, the grille features a red strip and chrome elements on its ventilation grilles.

On the sides, the mirror housings, a badge on the B-pillar and the wheel trims also feature red. Also, Fiat offers two different wheel designs in 15 or 16 inches, depending on your preference.

Inside, there is a dashboard painted red and seats upholstered in black with topstitching and the 500 logo embroidered in red on the backrests. In addition, the infotainment system comes as standard, with a 7-inch touchscreen and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, DAB radio and a 12 V power socket.

Generous standard equipment

The new 500 Hybrid Red comes with a very generous standard specification, highlighting 15-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, Start&Stop, speed limiter, a fixed glass sunroof with a sunshade and a multifunction steering wheel trimmed in synthetic leather, among other features.

Under the bonnet

In terms of mechanics, the Fiat 500 Hybrid Red has a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 70 CV and 92 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. This powertrain features a 12 V mild-hybrid system that makes it more efficient and allows it to display the DGT ECO label.

As we said before, this new special edition can be chosen with the conventional body or the convertible version. The conventional 500 Red starts from 19,150 euros, and the 500C Red from 22,150 euros.
