The Barcelona International Motor Show is just around the corner, as it will take place from 11 to 21 May and will bring to the city all the most important new releases from the various brands exhibiting on their stands. There are significant new additions to the Italian brand’s range, although there are no major surprises at the Catalan event. It is not one of the great motor shows in the world, but it brings the latest news in the sector closer to Spain and allows us to see them up close.

Among Fiat’s offering for the Barcelona Motor Show, the presence of the reborn Tipo family stands out, which features three body styles: the saloon, the five-door hatchback and the Station Wagon, aimed at families. The Tipo range was recently revived, as we have been reporting over the past few months, and it has achieved considerable success in the industry, in addition to a warm reception from European users.

The Tipo models are equipped with 1.6 Multijet II diesel engines producing 120 CV, the 1.3 Multijet II producing 95 CV, the petrol 1.4 producing 95 CV, the petrol 1.4 T-Jet producing 120 CV and the petrol-LPG 1.4 T-Jet producing 120 CV, so the offering is varied, with engines for every taste. As a novelty, from this May onwards the first of these engines can be combined with a DDCT dual-clutch gearbox, which improves the car’s performance.

The success of this model is accompanied by several trim levels for another of the Italian brand’s major cars, although this time it is a small city car. The Fiat 500X receives the S-Design trim, as does the Tipo, and the convertible body style is also presented. This is a special, numbered edition to commemorate the model’s 60th anniversary. In addition, the Spanish public will get to see another version of the same model, named 500X Cross Line.

A new 500L Trekking will also be on display, along with the 124 Spider America, one of the most interesting cars in the Italian brand’s range. Those who approach the stand with the intention of buying a Fiat will also have several special offers and promotions focused on the Barcelona Motor Show, which makes it well worth stopping by to see all these new releases.
