FIAT plans three new models over the next 18 months

FIAT plans three new models, which it will launch over the next 18 months and which are intended to help position the brand in the global market.

Fiat Pandissima Verano 2025

That FIAT is no longer the powerful brand it was just a few decades ago is no secret. But Stellantis, the large automotive group that includes other brands such as Peugeot or Opel. Even so, the Italian brand intends to carry out several launches that will allow it to regain its lost prestige.

To this end, in addition to strengthening its current models, it plans to launch three new models over the next 18 months. It will also focus on different types of vehicles. These three vehicles will be an SUV, a fastback and a pick-up. In this way, the brand seeks to position itself in different segments to pave the way for future models and demonstrate that FIAT still has a lot to say in the automotive industry.

Fiat Grande Panda

The first model, the FIAT Pandissima

The first of FIAT’s three new models will be the FIAT Pandissima, a vehicle based on the FIAT Panda, but with a more attractive and powerful look than the model it is based on. This model measures 4.4 metres in length and will be produced at the Kenitra plant in Morocco.

It will be available in five- and seven-seat versions, so it will have enough interior space to travel comfortably, especially in the five-seat version. With this model, the aim is to reach a global audience, and it will be launched in the markets of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America.

FIAT’s other future models

FIAT will continue with its upcoming launches with a version of the Fastback, which is sold in South America but adapted for the global market. This model could be called the FIAT Panda Fastback. With this, it will have a good representative in Europe in the C segment.

Finally, FIAT wants to present a replacement for the Strada, a more modern and up-to-date pick-up that aims to be a vehicle capable of offering solutions for both work and leisure. This pick-up also belongs to the C segment, so this is where it wants to set the pace in Europe, but above all in emerging markets.

Joining these three models is the Grande Panda, which has already been announced and will be produced on three continents. In addition, it will be renamed in South America, so it will possibly be called FIAT Argo. In this way, the brand shows that it wants to adapt to local markets. The FIAT Panda will also remain available, as it continues to be one of the brand’s pillars and sits in the A segment, where it wants to be a benchmark in Europe.
