Fiat Scudo and Honda Civic for service.

It’s Sunday, and unfortunately we have to say that not even during Easter do we get a break from those dreaded service recalls. This time, as the title of this very post says, the new Fiat Scudo as well as the Honda Civic EM2 and ES5 will have to go to the workshop.
On this occasion, the alerts have been published by both the European Union Consumer Institute and the Spanish National Consumer Institute, so if you have any of these vehicles in your garage, the affected brands will soon contact you to arrange a free repair.
- Honda Civic: The problem with the Japanese car is due to excessive inflation pressure, which could cause internal parts of the airbag inflator to break loose and pierce it, with disastrous consequences. Apparently, as we mentioned above, the affected cars are the Civic Coupé 1.7i EZ VTEC EM2 and the Civic 1.6 4-door ES5.
- Fiat Scudo: The problem with this famous van has been detected specifically in the steering, where a seal on a bolt located at the bottom of the steering column could loosen, affecting control of the vehicle. Apparently, and according to the Fiat itself, all the affected vans were manufactured in 2011 and sold with the 1.6 JTD and 2.0 JTD engines.

En el año 2006 compré una Fiat Scudo y hoy se me ha roto la direccion asistida y me dicen que la reparación me va a costar 1200 euros.
¿Puede ser un defecto de fábrica?
Muchas gracias
