Fiat Topolino by Garavini, the electric beach buggy with Italian design

This version of the Fiat Topolino is not within everyone’s reach and has been designed to celebrate the Dolce Vita and Italian maritime style.

The Fiat Topolino is an electric quadricycle from the brand that enjoys a certain popularity in Italy. Although it is not a luxury vehicle, it has caught the attention of the Italian coachbuilder Carozzeria Garavini, which has worked to turn this particular vehicle into an ideal way to get around the beach, with efficiency, sustainability and style.

The idea has always been inspired by the Italian Dolce Vita, so this is a vehicle with a spectacular design that combines the Italian lifestyle with the finish of the same name as the model. Garavini hhas bodied many Topolinos over its lifetime, so this is just one more step on the path of this Italian company.

Topolino is how Mickey Mouse is known in Italy, so this model carries many cultural connotations. The chosen design has a great deal to do with this famous character. This model aims to turn the Topolino into a luxury accessory for other vehicles. This small city car can be the equivalent of a yacht’s tender, for example, a way to get around the beach and enjoy the sun, sand and sea.

The design is inspired by the island of Capri and the Mediterranean lifestyle. Blue and white dominate the bodywork, a clear nod to the Italian way of life. The model’s roll-up soft top blends with the fixed roof, featuring a blue and white striped design that gives it a more sophisticated touch.

It has lost its doors, which have been replaced by a rope, which frees up the look of the bodywork and gives it more airiness. Another exterior detail is the open cargo area at the rear. As a curious detail, it is worth noting that the seat headrests can be removed and become comfortable beach cushions.

There are no changes to the powertrain, so it continues to use the 6 kW electric motor, equivalent to about 8.2 CV. Its top speed is 45 km/h and its battery has a capacity of 5.4 kWh, with which a range of 75 kilometres can be achieved.

That said, it is not an affordable version, as this conversion considerably raises the price. If the basic model has a starting price of 9,890 euros, each of the first ten units costs 45,000 euros, plus VAT. That said, every last detail can be personalised.
