Ford doesn't beat around the bush: this is the front of the Mustang Shelby GT500
Ford has just unveiled a teaser showing the upcoming Mustang Shelby GT500. Under its bonnet we will find a V8 producing more than 700 CV.

The American firm continues to take great care of one of its most cherished vehicles, the Ford Mustang. One of the pieces of news that thrilled fans of the muscle car was its arrival in Europe and, since that event, things have only got better. Several versions of the Ford Mustang are being built on this latest generation, including the all-powerful Shelby GT500, the most radical and powerful version of the pony car.
Ford has been generating strong anticipation since the launch of the latest Mustang, a car whose sportiest variant was represented by the GT350; however, the arrival of the GT500 is imminent. Several teasers have announced that we would soon witness the greatness of this American sports car, which aims to take on both its compatriots and its main European rivals.
A few months ago, the firm of the oval showed us a short video hinting at several design features of the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and, at the same time, told us about its imposing mechanics. On this occasion, the brand has wanted to go further with an image of the front of the future quintessential muscle car in all its splendour. Thanks to this, we can glimpse more elements of the GT500, such as a much more aggressive grille, which features a hexagonal shape and is in turn governed by the characteristic cobra.

On this occasion, Ford has made sure to offer styling worthy of the tuning of this very special Mustang, something achieved thanks to the gigantic bonnet that houses the powerful V8 that will bring the GT500 to life. At the same time, two long black stripes run across the surface of the muscle car, an element typical of all generations bearing the Shelby name. However -and as is only logical- they have reserved the best for its mechanics.
Inside the Mustang Shelby GT500 we will find a powerful V8 with more than 5 litres of displacement and capable of delivering more than 700 CV of power, comfortably outperforming other models in its class, including those from Europe. For now the American firm has made no statement about when we will see it, but it may be that Ford takes the opportunity of the New York Motor Show to unveil the most radical Mustang.

Another question that gnaws at our minds is whether this future GT500 will try to conquer Europe just like its more modest variant or the Bullitt version. For now we will have to wait for more information about this American sports car but, without a doubt, it will be a real revolution within Ford.
