Ford Mustang Dark Horse, the most impressive version of the new generation
This special version of the Ford Mustang has been prepared to shine on the track, which is why it has been improved to deliver the best performance on circuit.

A few days ago we had the opportunity to see the new generation of the Ford Mustang, and now we are going to take a closer look at one of the versions derived from it. The Ford Mustang GT is already the top of the range, offering all the most impressive features associated with the model, but Ford has presented a special edition that sits above this version. It is the Mustang Dark Horse, and whoever drives it will enjoy a superior experience.
What makes it so special is the fourth-generation Coyote 5.0 engine, which has been modified to deliver better performance. With these modifications, the power output amounts to 500 CV. Among these modifications, the two intake butterflies and the connecting rods stand out, which were first introduced on the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500.

The power of this engine is transmitted through a ten-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed Tremec manual gearbox. The latter has been updated and improved to deliver better operation in this version. It is in the mechanics where Ford has worked to give this version a more radical behaviour.

The mechanics are reinforced with several additional radiators, the gearbox cooling has been improved and the brakes have also been upgraded, with the use of six-piston Brembo calipers and 353 mm discs on the front wheels. The third-generation MagnaRide dampers help to control the vehicle better and, should any problem arise, there are anti-roll bars and structural reinforcements.
The 19-inch wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tyres. In the near future, carbon fibre wheels will be included to reduce the overall weight of the model, although they have not yet reached the market. An adjustable rear spoiler, thicker anti-roll bars, wider tyres and firmer springs also remain available as options.
Inside, a flat-bottomed steering wheel trimmed in Alcantara can be seen, and the seatbelts will be adapted to the characteristics of the model. On the outside, the large air intakes at the front, the cooling vents on the bonnet and a more aggressive bumper design stand out.
Even more intense versions are expected, aimed at the track, and we are eagerly looking forward to them.
