Has Lamborghini managed to bring the 1971 Lamborghini Countach LP500 back to life? The brand of the raging bull has shared a teaser video on its official Twitter account, and everything suggests that the legendary Lamborghini Countach LP500 of 1971 may appear. As we told you a few weeks ago, the Lamborghini Countach is celebrating an anniversary: this year marks its 50th anniversary. The manufacturer has also developed a modern version of the supercar, based on the Lamborghini Aventador.
Rumours suggest the brand’s classic division, Lamborghini Polo Storico, may be working on restoring the legendary 1971 Lamborghini Countach. Nothing would please us more this year! It is worth noting that the video posted on Twitter shows the interior of a classic Countach, and an artisan cutting leather pieces and stitching them together with great care.

Are we looking at the 1971 Lamborghini Countach LP500?
After this video was published, two possibilities come to mind. On the one hand, the brand may be investing in growing its classic restoration division, Lamborghini Polo Storico. The other possibility is that the brand is restoring a unit of the Lamborghini Countach LP500. This concept was presented at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show, and comparing it with the images in the video, we can say it is the same unit.
At the end of the video, the phrase “50 years ago, it paved the way to the future. Now, it’s back!” appears. If we take this claim at face value, we can be delighted, as it would mean the legendary Lamborghini Countach LP500 has returned to life. The manufacturer, therefore, continues to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the most iconic models in automotive history.

A few weeks ago we were able to see the Lamborghini Countach LPI800-4, and it is worth noting that it has generated great expectation in the industry and among users. It is inspired by the original model but is based on the Lamborghini Aventador and uses the propulsion system of the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37.
