Aston Martin DB11 Coupés Geneva Motor Show
Here comes the Aston Martin DB11, a coupé that impresses

Not long ago we watched as one of the Aston Martin DB10 used in the James Bond film, SPECTRE, was auctioned off. We were told we would not see another DB10, that it was a one-off piece created for the secret agent’s adventure, but we already knew they would not leave us without a good novelty in the DB family.
So after the DB9, the latest model in the range to go on sale, comes the Aston Martin DB11, a coupé that continues this popular and elegant line with details that recall the main models that preceded it, including the cinematic DB10.
The exterior of the Aston Martin DB11 includes several design features found on the DB10, though also on the DBX concept and even on the special centenary model of the brand, the CC110. We also know this is the first model to benefit from the British brand’s collaboration with Mercedes, so it may share elements with the S-Class from the German brand.

At the front of the DB11 we see the grille of Aston Martin, which gives the firm’s signature that makes the car’s origin easy to recognise. However, there are other details that move it away from the brand’s most traditional look, giving it some difference. Among those things that “break” with the tradition of the Aston Martin style is the rear end, which gives it a different and perhaps more active and dynamic image.
It is believed to sit on a modified version of Aston Martin’s VH aluminium platform. As for the engine, which is something that interests us quite a lot when talking about a new member of the DB family, it is believed it will fit a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that could deliver 600 CV. That power will be managed by an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a six-speed manual. In any case, we will wait for the 2016 Geneva Motor Show to begin so the company can offer all the information and we can see the car up close.
