Honda presents the e Limited Edition, a limited series of just 50 units of its small electric city car destined for the European market

Since 2019, Honda has featured in its lineup the small e, a fully electric model that, with its striking design, undeniable sportiness and wide technological deployment, managed to catch the attention of more than 40,000 people interested in this model. However, this interest faded in Europe after it was noted that in 2020 it barely surpassed 4,000 units sold, and in 2021 sales did not even come close.

It may be hard to understand why, despite so many people being interested in the Honda e, this did not ultimately translate into higher sales volumes and, perhaps, this can be blamed on a range that does not exceed 220 km and a considerably high price for a vehicle considered a city car. For this reason, the Japanese brand wants to give its small electric car a boost, offering the e Limited Edition as a limited series of 50 units for Europe.

To do so, Honda offers us the e in its Advanced trim, which it uses as a base and which receives for its bodywork a new colour called Rojo Cristal Platinum, exclusive to this version, which is combined with various elements painted in gloss black, such as the front panel, the lower part of the bumper, the roof as well as the A and B pillars, the side skirts, 17-inch wheels, the rear spoiler, the tailgate panel and the lower part of the rear bumper.

Inside the Honda e Limited Edition, its occupants will enjoy standout equipment such as heated seats, a panoramic roof and the Honda Sensing safety and driver assistance systems, all accompanied by the wide technological deployment the Honda e incorporates, such as the instrument cluster and the infotainment system that runs across its dashboard, or the digital rear-view mirrors.

Mechanically, as this is the Advanced version, the Honda e Limited Edition uses the most powerful motorisation, delivering an output of 154 CV together with a torque of 315 Nm, allowing it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. Its price in Spain has not yet been revealed, but the €41,900 announced for the German market can serve as a reference.
