Honda e:N2 Concept: a 100% electric saloon as a preview of a new production model
The Japanese brand has just unveiled a new, very futuristic-looking prototype that previews the arrival of a new fully electric saloon on the market

With the arrival of its first large electric SUV just a month ago, Honda is focusing its efforts on electrifying its range through collaboration with other brands such as General Motors, with which it will share, for example, the platform of its new Prologue, allowing it to reduce costs and take advantage of synergies.
Now, the company has presented for the first time its new Honda e:N2 Concept, a 100% electric concept prototype that was unveiled in China, and which is the first member of the e:N Series family, a range created to host future new electric models on the Asian market, with seven models planned by 2027.
Focusing first on the design of this new concept, the new e:N2 features a saloon body, very pronounced and futuristic styling lines, and LED front and rear light units with a practically symmetrical design between the two.

Optimised design
At a quick glance it is very clear that the new Honda prototype is a 100% electric vehicle. Its fully closed front without a grille, its pronounced yet aerodynamic shapes, its faired wheels, camera mirrors, and the absence of door handles are clear signs of its aerodynamic design.
Although they have not yet confirmed its dimensions, everything points to it being around 4.7 metres long, which will put it head to head with tough rivals such as the Tesla Model 3, the Hyundai Ioniq 6, the Polestar 2 and the Volkswagen ID. Aero, among others.

Minimalism taken to the extreme
As is typical of concepts, the new e:N2 Concept boasts a minimalist design free of practically every superfluous element: it has no screens, buttons or selectors on its dashboard, just a very minimalist rectangular steering wheel.
For now, Honda has not confirmed what type of motor it will use, nor its power output or battery capacity, so we will have to wait to find out which model it will become, when it will arrive, its specifications and whether it will reach Europe.
