Hyundai confirms performance upgrades for the Veloster Turbo
The Veloster Turbo is set to receive interesting performance upgrades, as Hyundai stated at the recent SEMA Show. It will offer more power along with further customisation and enhancement options.
Are you one of the owners of a Hyundai Veloster Turbo who would love to afford the new Veloster N? Well, before you head to the dealership to negotiate a trade-in, you might be more interested in the latest performance upgrade options announced by the South Korean manufacturer.

Unveiled this week at the SEMA Show, the new line of performance upgrades includes a high-performance K&N air filter, a Borla-enhanced exhaust and a sporty B&M gearbox, as well as weight-reducing modifications for the model, among others.
Obviously, these new parts will not turn your Veloster Turbo into a Veloster N, but they will help you close the gap exponentially.
Sitting in the middle of the South Korean manufacturer’s sporty price range, the Veloster Turbo falls between the base version and the new Veloster N. It features a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces a total of 201 CV and 265 Nm of torque.

That makes it more powerful than the base Veloster 2.0, which has 147 CV and 179 Nm of torque. However, it still sits behind the Veloster N, which boasts a 2.0-litre engine generating a total of 275 CV and a remarkable 353 Nm of torque, undoubtedly a significant difference.
However, as different as the performance between the two may seem, the Veloster Turbo is cheaper, and since the gap is not so wide, it may be the smarter choice for those on a tighter budget.
The base Veloster Turbo starts at around 25,000 €, while the Veloster N, although no official figure has been released, is estimated at around 30,000 €.

Hyundai has not shared prices for the performance upgrades we have just described, but we are confident that the complete package will still be cheaper than the Veloster N. However, this is where we will see how much…
