If you're thinking about buying an SUV, these are the prices of the Skoda Kamiq

The concessionaires of Skoda are only a short time away from taking the first orders for the new SUV from the Czech brand. This car joins an offering that already includes models such as the Karoq and the Kodiaq, and follows the design line started by them. Order intake for the Skoda Kamiq will open on August 28, although the first units will not be delivered until October.

The Skoda Kamiq is very similar in presence to the SEAT Arona and the Volkswagen T-Cross, with which it shares the modular platform of the Volkswagen group and offers the crossover capabilities of those other models from its sister brands. In Spain the Skoda Kamiq will be available in four trim levels: Active, Ambition, Style and Sport, the latter being a version exclusive to Spain.

In terms of engines, there are two petrol variants: the 1.0 TSI engine in two power outputs, 95 and 115 CV, and a 1.5 TSI engine producing 150 CV. For the diesel engine, it is the 1.6 TDI unit with 115 CV. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are available, so every driver can find the Skoda Kamiq they prefer.

This includes a version with compressed natural gas (CNG), which will be available later and will feature a 1.0 TSI engine with 90 CV.

Space and technology inside

Although it is a small SUV, the brand assures that the interior space is generous and offers enough room for occupants to travel comfortably. This model measures 4,241 mm in length, 1,793 mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. The boot has a capacity of 400 litres, although with the rear bench folded down it reaches 1,395 litres.

As for technology, all variants feature the Front Assistant emergency braking system, the Lane Assist lane-keeping system and light assistants. Connectivity is also present, with the 8-inch screen linked to the Smartlink+ infotainment system.
