Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Touring, the fastest saloon in the world also heads for the road
Jaguar has raised the aerodynamic stakes on what is the fastest series-production saloon in the world with the Touring version.

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has a new version, somewhat more understated, for the road. The manufacturer’s Special Vehicle Operations division has got to work and added a new rear spoiler to the Jaguar performance saloon that “shows a discreet design that camouflages the high performance worthy of this 600 CV vehicle’s racing circuits”.
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 now receives a new specification, Touring, and becomes part of the range that includes the uprated version of the Project 8 capable of reaching 320 km/h.

It is important to highlight that the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 holds the lap record for a series-production saloon on mythical circuits such as the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the Dubai Autodrome and Laguna Seca. The new Touring fixed spoiler replaces the adjustable carbon-fibre rear aerodynamic aid fitted to the racing version of the Jaguar XE SV Project 8.
In addition, the front is completed by a fixed front splitter designed to maintain aerodynamic balance.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8, now for the road
Despite the manufacturer having made this change to the aerodynamics, the model in question will continue to use a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 capable of delivering a staggering 600 CV and reaching a maximum torque of 700 Nm. Furthermore, the brand itself states that the “spoiler, named Touring, maintains an exceptional level of road performance and driving experience for a performance saloon, as it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h”.
Jamal Hameedi, engineering Director of Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations, has stated that “the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has received extraordinary reviews since its launch, which confirms the Special Vehicle Operations team’s ability to create a compact saloon from Jaguar with performance that has nothing to envy from a supercar. The Touring specification adds to the Project 8 what enthusiasts of high-performance vehicles are looking for, those who don’t want to give up driver-focused dynamics on the road”.

It is important to highlight that the Special Vehicle Operations division will hand-build a maximum of 15 units of the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 in the Touring specification at its Technical Centre in Warwickshire, only with the four-seat configuration. Among other features, the model is equipped with a carbon-ceramic brake system.
In case the bug has bitten you, the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a collector’s car whose production is limited to just 300 units, although only fifteen of this Touring version will be built. There are still some units available in the UK, but their price could start at 170,000 euros.
Customers interested in purchasing this limited-edition version can choose from the Valencia Orange,
Velocity Blue, Corris Grey Satin and British Racing Green finishes, while the absence of adhesive labels on the bodywork (available as options) reinforces its status as the ultimate sleeper.
