KIA EV3: five reasons why it is the ideal electric car for the family
The KIA EV3 is an ideal vehicle for getting around the city and also offers good behaviour on long journeys, thanks to its range and equipment.

Electric cars have become a real option and are settling into the market, although it is true that this is happening more slowly than expected. When it was designed, the KIA EV3 was conceived as an efficient vehicle, with range, space and equipment to live up to what is expected of it.
Range
Range is one of the main points of the KIA EV3, and this model has been carefully designed with it in mind. The KIA EV3’s range is rated at 605 kilometres, although it can reach up to 773 kilometres in urban cycle, the two figures recorded under the WLTP homologation cycle. This makes it a car that is perfect for getting around the city and for tackling a long journey without problems.

The E-GMP platform allows batteries of several sizes to be fitted. The entry-level variant has a 58.43 kWh battery. The KIA EV3 Long Range uses an 81.4 kWh battery. Both use a high-density cell arrangement, and the cooling system helps maintain range at those levels.
Fast charging
To make the most of charging stops, the KIA EV3 can charge at fast chargers. This means that, using a suitable charger, it can go from 10% to 80% in 29 minutes with the 58.2 kWh battery and in 31 minutes with the larger-capacity battery.
In addition, its navigation system allows the route to be planned to find the nearest chargers, and the driver can adjust the journey to always find a charging point. An advantage that helps you enjoy driving the Korean electric car.

Space for the whole family
Generous space makes it the only car the family needs. The boot, which offers a capacity of 460 litres, can be increased to 1,251 litres if the rear seats are folded down. A front luggage compartment offers an additional 25 litres of storage.
The E-GMP platform offers short front and rear overhangs, together with a long wheelbase, which allows a long cabin to be provided, favouring the legroom of the occupants. In this respect, we find the THIN HVAC system, which combines heating, ventilation and air conditioning, offering six centimetres more footwell space.
Driving experience
Before being manufactured, the KIA EV3 was tested virtually, with hundreds of configurations, adapting the geometries and design to the needs of European drivers, who are the model’s main target. Many of the technologies included in this model were previously available only on higher-category models.
One of these elements is the third-generation Smart Frequency Damper (SFD3), which adjusts damping to effectively counteract vibrations transmitted through the road surface. It also includes the G hydraulic silentblocks, which offer shock absorption up to ten times greater than conventional ones.
Safety above all
The bodyshell has been built with a high percentage of high-strength steels and several impact absorption zones, with advanced restraint systems and Drivewise ADAS technology that enable safer and smoother driving. With all this, the KIA EV3 has achieved the five stars of Euro NCAP, making it one of the safest cars on the market.
